External Libraries

Using the function "External Libraries" you can look up books in online libraries. The search results can easiliy be added to the collection.

To search a book, enter the author or the title in the corresponding input fields. Choose the online library that you want to access:

Deutsche Nationalbibliothek
Bibliotheksverbund Bayern
Online Computer Library Center
Library of Congress

If the number of search results exceeds a certain limit, the results are presented in various pages. You can specify how many hits each of these pages should contain. However, the online libraries have limits of the number of hits that are returned on each page.

The command bar contains the following functions:

Starting a new search
Navigating between the result pages
Adding the marked entry to your collection. Before adding an entry you still have the chance to make some changes (cf. screenshot).
Displaying the home page of the marked title in the integrated browser.
Switching between list view and tile view.

The tile view groups the entries in the categories books and audio books. Choosing a tile opens the corresponding web page in the browser. Moreover, each title has a pushbutton to add the entry to the collection.
