foobar2000 Remote Controller

With the foobar2000 Remote Controller you can controll your foobar player with your Android smartphone.

How to use the Remote Controller

To use the app, you must add the Beefweb Remote Control component (foo_beefweb) to your foobar installation.

As a next step, you need the ip address of the computer on which foobar2000 is running. YOu can do this my typing CMD into the search field of the task bar. This will suggest to open the command shell. In the command shell, execute the command ipconfig. Look out for the IPv4 address, and note it down.

Finally, install the remote controller from the Google Play Store. Start the app, and enter the app settings by tapping the settings button.

Choose the option "IP Address", and enter the previously noted IP address.

Privacy Statement

The app does not access any private data such as contacts. It accesses the REST API from beefweb to control the foobar client. This is done with HTTP, and without password. It is therefore suggested to use the app only in a local network.
